Facebook Integration
SkpR connects to a business’s Facebook Page (with permission) to automatically retrieve information about upcoming events—so businesses don’t have to re-enter event details. The synced events appear in a consumer-facing gallery inside the SkpR app.
Service description (what SkpR does)
We provide a unified event showcase platform that helps small businesses promote their local events to consumers without the burden of repetitive data entry. Businesses create events on Facebook as they normally would, and SkpR syncs those events into a professional gallery in our app.
How platform data is used
After a business authorizes SkpR to access their Facebook Page, we retrieve event details such as event dates, times, descriptions, and cover image when available. We use this data to instantly sync their Facebook schedule with the SkpR app.
What information may be accessed
- Facebook Page identifiers (Page ID and Page name)
- Authorization token used to sync (stored securely)
- Upcoming event details: title, date/time, description, and cover image when available
We only use what’s needed to provide the event-sync service described above.
What clients do (normal workflow)
Clients simply create their events on Facebook as they normally would. Once they authorize SkpR, those events automatically appear in a promoted gallery within our consumer-facing application. This saves time and keeps event information up to date in one place.
Integration Flow
- Business connects Facebook Page
- Event list imported/synced
- Events displayed in SkpR consumer gallery
